            Position: Laboratory Technologist I.
            Job Description:
Performs experiments on neonatal blood specimens in order to detect the presence/quantity of metabolic diseases, such as: galactosemia, biotinidase, and sickle cell; reports test results to the Division of  Family  Health.
Maintains and organizes data; keeps accurate records of ongoing experiments and results of   same for purposes of future reference.
Calibrates equipment as needed and maintains records of reagents used.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
